Lille were ruthless at the Stadium de Toulouse, cruising to a commanding 4-0 win to reclaim third place in Ligue 1. The victory carried extra emotion, as players rallied around coach Bruno Genesio during goal celebrations following a personal family tragedy.
Thomas Meunier opened the scoring on 23 minutes with a well-placed cross-shot, assisted by Hákon Arnar Haraldsson. The second half started with a turning point when Mark McKenzie was sent off on 48 minutes for fouling Matías Fernández-Pardo inside the box, leaving Toulouse down to ten. Romain Perraud capitalised immediately, curling in a direct free kick on 50 minutes.
