Match Report
Paris FC held off a spirited Le Havre fightback to claim a vital 3-2 victory at the Stade Jean Bouin in Ligue 1 on Sunday. Ciro Immobile opened the scoring on 29 minutes before an Ayumu Seko own goal four minutes later handed the hosts a comfortable 2-0 cushion at the break.
Le Havre came out swinging after half-time, and Rassoul N'Diaye halved the deficit on the hour mark to set up a tense finale. Just as the visitors sensed an equaliser, though, substitute Alimani Gory struck in the 86th minute to restore Paris FC's two-goal advantage.
Godson Kyeremeh pulled one back deep in stoppage time, but it proved mere consolation for the travelling side.
The three points lift Paris FC to 13th on 31 points, opening a four-point gap over Le Havre in 14th. With both clubs still casting anxious glances toward the relegation zone, this result could loom large come May.
