Match Report
Strasbourg ground to yet another goalless draw at the Stade de la Meinau on Sunday, held 0-0 by a stubborn Paris FC in Ligue 1's Round 26. It was the third consecutive draw for Gary O'Neil's men, and the second in a row without finding the net.
The hosts dominated possession at nearly 60% and fired 12 shots, but only three troubled Kevin Trapp in the Paris FC goal. Centre-back Andrew Omobamidele was outstanding at both ends for Strasbourg, but a lack of cutting edge up front told the familiar story. Paris FC grew into the contest in the final quarter-hour and could have stolen all three points.
The stalemate leaves Strasbourg stuck in eighth on 37 points, their European hopes fading fast. Paris FC extend their unbeaten run to four matches under Antoine Kombouaré and sit 13th on 28 points — a hard-earned point on the road they will happily take.
