Kilmarnock vs Livingston
Match Report
Kilmarnock pulled clear of the relegation zone with a comfortable 2-0 victory over rock-bottom Livingston at Rugby Park in a crucial basement battle.
Joe Hugill opened the scoring on 25 minutes, turning home a pinpoint Marley Watkins cross to give the hosts a deserved first-half lead. Findlay Curtis then doubled the advantage in the 77th minute, finishing coolly at the far post after being teed up by Hugill.
Livingston's miserable afternoon went from bad to worse when Brooklyn Kabongolo was shown a straight red card in the 84th minute for hauling down Curtis as he raced through on goal.
The defeat leaves Livingston 12 points adrift at the bottom with just seven games remaining, their winless league run now a grim 29 matches. For Kilmarnock, this was a vital three points in their fight for survival.
