Match Report
Royale Union SG powered to a convincing 3-1 away win at the Stayen, with centre-backs Christian Burgess and Ross Sykes both finding the net in a devastating four-minute first-half blitz that left Sint-Truiden reeling.
Burgess opened the scoring on 23 minutes before Sykes doubled the advantage just four minutes later, sending the league leaders into the break with a comfortable cushion. Besfort Zeneli added a third shortly after the restart on 56 minutes to all but end the contest.
Oumar Diouf pulled one back for the hosts on 79 minutes, but it proved nothing more than a consolation as the visitors saw out the win without breaking a sweat.
The result lifts Union SG to 66 points at the Pro League summit, three clear of Club Brugge, while Sint-Truiden stay third on 57 points after a frustrating afternoon at home.
