Match Report
RAAL La Louviere pulled off a massive result in the relegation battle, storming to a 3-1 victory at Cercle Brugge on Sunday. Pape Moussa Fall set the tone early, coolly converting a sixth-minute penalty to give the visitors the lead at Jan Breydelstadion.
Cercle dominated possession but couldn't find a way through, and RAAL punished them ruthlessly after the break. Joël Ito doubled the lead on 60 minutes before Fall completed his brace with a counter-attack goal in the 70th, assisted by Jerry Afriyie. Oluwaseun Adewumi pulled one back for the hosts on 76 minutes, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
The win lifts RAAL La Louviere to 30 points and up to 13th in the Pro League, leapfrogging both Cercle and Zulte Waregem. Cercle Brugge drop to 15th on 28 points and now find themselves deep in the survival fight.
