Match Report
West Ham kept their survival hopes alive with a breathless 2-1 win over Everton at London Stadium, sealed by Callum Wilson's stoppage-time strike in front of 62,454 fans.
Tomas Soucek gave the hosts the lead in the 51st minute, heading home Jarrod Bowen's inswinging corner. Everton hit back through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's 88th-minute volley — set up by a James Tarkowski knockdown — to briefly push West Ham into the drop zone on goal difference. VAR checked a Mateus Fernandes handball claim in the 84th minute but ruled it out.
Wilson had the final say in the 90+2nd minute, finishing from Bowen's back-post knockdown to send London Stadium into pandemonium.
The win is vital for West Ham, who stay two points above 18th-place Tottenham with four games to go — Nottingham Forest's win the night before had already turned the screw. Everton stall in 11th on 47 points, their European hopes slipping further away.
