Sassuolo handed AC Milan a commanding 2-0 defeat at the Mapei Stadium, with the result shaped almost from the opening whistle. Domenico Berardi struck after just five minutes to give the home side an early stranglehold, and the afternoon quickly spiralled for the visitors.
