Belarus U21 vs Kazakhstan U21
Match Report
Belarus U21 kicked off their two-game friendly series in Baranovichi with a commanding 2-0 victory over Kazakhstan U21 on June 5 — a result shaped almost entirely in the opening 20 minutes.
Kirill Tsepenkov set the tone with a cool finish as early as the 3rd minute, and Timofey Simanenka doubled the advantage in the 18th to put the hosts firmly in control. Kazakhstan offered little in response, and coach Vitaly Pavlov's side coasted through the second half to seal a polished clean sheet with no red cards or penalties to complicate things.
The win gives Belarus U21 plenty of momentum heading into the second meeting of the series, set for June 8 at Traktor Stadium in Minsk. For Kazakhstan U21, there is little time to dwell on it — a much-improved showing will be needed if they want to avoid leaving Belarus empty-handed again.
