SC Telstar vs PSV

Telstar produced one of the Eredivisie shocks of the season, thumping league leaders PSV 3-1 at the BUKO Stadion. A red card for Salah-Eddine in the 39th minute proved the turning point, leaving the title favourites to play over half the match with ten men. Brouwer pounced just before half-time (45+3') to give the hosts the lead, before Sildillia equalised for PSV two minutes into the second half with an assist from Perisic. The response was short-lived, though. Van Duijn restored Telstar's advantage on 66 minutes, combining neatly with Brouwer, before Tejan put the result beyond doubt in the 74th to spark jubilant scenes. The defeat barely dents PSV's comfortable lead at the top of the table, but for 16th-placed Telstar, these three points could prove priceless in the fight against relegation.
