Match Report
Sweden and Greece played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at Strawberry Arena in Solna, with the visitors snatching a last-gasp equalizer deep into stoppage time to deny the hosts a winning send-off before the World Cup.
Greece struck first when Konstantinos Tsimikas finished coolly from a Christos Tzolis assist in the 10th minute. Sweden turned it around in the second half — Viktor Gyökeres leveled with a deflected free kick in the 53rd minute, then substitute Gustaf Nilsson headed home a Taha Ali cross at 69 minutes to put the hosts in front. But in the 90+6th minute, Giorgos Masouras fired home a stunning late equalizer.
Sweden head into the 2026 World Cup knowing they can fight back but frustrated to concede so late at home. Greece showed real character, their stoppage-time strike a welcome morale boost ahead of the summer.
