Match Report
PSV cruised to a comfortable 0-2 victory at Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday evening, with Guus Til delivering the standout performance of the night at Het Kasteel.
Til broke the deadlock inside three minutes and doubled the lead just before half-time in the 40th, before being withdrawn at the interval in favor of Ricardo Pepi. The second half brought controversy when Joel van den Berg received a red card in the 73rd minute — shortly after coming off as a substitute — while Paul Wanner was also booked during a feisty second period.
Already crowned Eredivisie champions for a third consecutive season, PSV showed again why they remain the dominant force in Dutch football. For Sparta Rotterdam, sitting eighth and still chasing a European berth, this home defeat makes their top-half ambitions considerably harder to achieve.
