Rangers vs Celtic

Rangers put on a statement performance at Ibrox, brushing aside Celtic 3-0 to reach the Scottish League Cup semi-finals. The home side set the tone from the first whistle, pressing hard and never allowing their rivals a foothold, with the result never truly in doubt once the opener went in. Dan Neil got things moving in the 20th minute with a low finish into the corner, then Kevin Kelsy doubled the lead just after the hour with a powerful strike from a deflected cross. Neil completed his brace in the 75th minute, curling a shot into the top corner to cap the win. It was a relatively clean affair by Old Firm standards, with only yellow cards shown and no penalties or red cards to speak of. For Rangers, it's a huge confidence boost and leaves them just three wins from silverware, offering some relief after a slow league start. Celtic, who still sit top of the Premiership table, will need to shake this one off quickly as their cup ambitions take an early hit.
