Platense vs Fluminense

Platense gave everything for the miracle at Vicente López, beating Fluminense 2-1 on the night but falling just short of a historic upset in their Copa Libertadores debut campaign. The Argentine side needed a three-goal winning margin to advance outright, and while they came agonizingly close, it wasn't enough to overturn the tie. The result meant Platense's remarkable run in their maiden Libertadores campaign ended in the quarterfinals, having also needed penalties to get past Coquimbo Unido earlier in the competition.
