Parma Calcio 1913 vs Genoa CFC
Match Preview
This early-season Serie A meeting at the Stadio Ennio Tardini already carries relegation-battle weight. Both Parma and Genoa sit deep in the bottom half of the table after three rounds, making this an early chance for either side to find some breathing room.
Parma collected their first point of the season with a 1-1 home draw against Monza, Simone Lontani cancelling out an early Jay Robinson strike for the visitors. New head coach Carlos Cuesta, at 29 one of the youngest managers in Europe's top leagues, is still stamping his identity on the side after succeeding Cristian Chivu, who left for Inter.
Genoa are in worse shape, still winless after a heavy 4-1 home defeat to Como in which Ermal Osmajić grabbed their only goal. Daniele De Rossi's rebuild remains a work in progress. The two sides have split recent meetings fairly evenly, with the reverse fixture back in January finishing goalless.
Our prediction: 1-1
