OGC Nice vs LOSC Lille
Match Report
Nice finally have something to smile about. The Aiglons snapped a 13-match home winless run in Ligue 1, beating a red-hot Lille side 2-1 at the Allianz Riviera for their first league win of the season.
The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute, when Mohamed Amoura's driving run down the left saw his cross deflect in off Nathan Ngoy for an own goal. Amoura got on the scoresheet himself in the 67th minute, netting his first Ligue 1 goal from a slick assist by Gauthier Hein. Ayase Ueda pulled one back for Lille in the 79th minute, but Nice held firm to see out the win.
It's a huge lift for Nice, who had been rooted to the bottom of the table and climb up to 14th with their first three points of the campaign. For Lille, it snaps an eight-game away winning streak and leaves them stuck in fourth, three points behind leaders Monaco.
