Nice rescued a point in a dramatic 1-1 draw at the Allianz Riviera, with a red card and a VAR-assisted equaliser in the final ten minutes turning matchday 32 completely on its head.
Allan Saint-Maximin broke the deadlock in the 60th minute after Adrien Thomasson's through ball caught the Nice keeper out of position. Lens looked set to hold on until Saud Abdulhamid was dismissed as the last defender in the 81st minute for fouling Sofiane Diop. Ali Abdi made them pay three minutes later, bundling home a deflected free kick from close range — confirmed by VAR.
The dropped points sting for Lens, who now trail PSG by six points with the title race all but over. Nice take the point gratefully, moving six points clear of the relegation play-off spot with two matches left — and both clubs will face each other again in the Coupe de France final in three weeks.
