Mirassol vs Always Ready

Mirassol continued their solid Group G campaign with a confident 2-0 home victory over Always Ready in the CONMEBOL Libertadores. Eduardo set the tone early, slotting home in just the ninth minute after a slick move set up by Alesson, and the hosts never looked like relinquishing their grip on the game. VAR added a twist in the 31st minute, ruling out Willian Machado's header for offside and keeping the gap at one. The tie was effectively decided in the 74th minute when J. Victor was dismissed for violent conduct, leaving Mirassol with a man advantage. Alesson made it count in the 80th, curling a polished finish into the net to double the lead. The result keeps Mirassol firmly in contention in Group G, while Always Ready, still without a point after three matches, are running out of time to turn their Libertadores campaign around.
