Match Preview
Nottingham Forest travel to the MCH Arena trailing 1-0 after Cho Gue-sung's 80th-minute header sealed the first leg last week. Vitor Pereira's side must become the first team to beat Midtjylland at home this season to keep their European dream alive — and reach a quarter-final for the first time in over 30 years.
Forest's form makes desperate reading — winless in six across all competitions, stuck in 17th in the Premier League, and carrying the division's worst shot conversion rate at 8.4%. Midtjylland, by contrast, finished third in the Europa League league phase and have conceded just once in four home European wins this term.
The visitors will be without Chris Wood and Willy Boly through knee injuries, while the hosts welcome Dario Osorio back from suspension. Joint Europa League top scorer Igor Jesus (seven goals) remains Forest's biggest threat, but Morgan Gibbs-White needs to deliver in the creative hub.
Midtjylland have won both previous meetings this season and their MCH Arena fortress looks far too tough to breach given Forest's wretched run. Our prediction: 1-1 — the Danes progress 2-1 on aggregate and march into the quarter-finals.
