Levante UD vs FC Barcelona

Barcelona made it five wins from five in La Liga, but had to work for it, edging a thrilling contest at Levante 2-4 on Sunday. The standout moment was a brilliant double from teenager Lamine Yamal, who turned a nervy finish into a comfortable-looking laurel before Levante made things interesting. Xavi Espart opened the scoring in just the 5th minute with his first senior goal, and Yamal doubled the lead in the 19th before converting a penalty in first minute of the second half after Aissa Mandi fouled him in the box. Levante refused to fold, pulling one back through substitute Ivan Romero in the 78th minute and again through Roger Brugue in the 88th to set up a grandstand finish, before Karim Adeyemi settled it deep into stoppage time. For Barcelona, it's another three points that keeps them perfect and clear at the top, even if the late wobble will worry the coaching staff. Levante can take heart from their fight, but the damage from a sloppy first half proved too costly to overturn.
