Match Report
LASK pulled off one of this season's great European comebacks, storming back from 3-0 down on aggregate to beat Celtic 5-1 after extra time and snatch a Champions League play-off spot the Scottish champions had all but wrapped up.
Callum McGregor struck early to put the visitors further clear, finishing in the 21st minute to move Celtic 4-0 up on aggregate. But a careless backpass from Benjamin Nygren gifted Moses Usor a simple finish on 32 minutes, and LASK never let up from there. Robert Ljubicic drilled home a low strike just after the break (48'), Samuel Adeniran curled in a second on 58', and Florian Flecker leveled the tie deep into normal time (90') to force extra time. Adeniran struck again on 109' before seeing a late penalty saved by Viljami Sinisalo, but the damage was already done.
The win sends LASK into the Champions League league phase, a stunning reward after conceding three at home in the first leg. For Celtic, it's a chastening exit into the Europa League, a second-leg collapse that will sting for a long time.
