Egnatia and Midtjylland finished level at 1-1 in their Conference League league-phase match on Thursday, with both goals arriving as headers in a seven-minute spell before the break. Ildi Gruda put the Albanian side in front in the 26th minute, nodding in a delivery from Altin Kryeziu. The lead lasted until the 33rd minute, when Cho Gue-Sung headed in from the centre of the box after a cross from Rasmus Kristensen, the ball finding the bottom left corner. The second half brought no further goals. Midtjylland made three changes at half time and later introduced Mikael Uhre in the 77th minute. Play was stopped twice for an injury to Daniel Adjessa, who was replaced in the 72nd minute. Ibrahim Diabaté collected the only booking, in the 86th minute. Shots on target were level at five apiece. It leaves both sides with a point from their first league-phase game.
