KAMAZ vs Volga Ulyanovsk

Kamaz suffered another home defeat, falling 1-2 to Volga Ulyanovsk in a Russian First League clash at Kamaz Stadium. The tone was set almost immediately when the visitors struck inside the opening two minutes, a blow the hosts never fully recovered from despite dominating possession for long stretches. Andrey Nikitin opened the scoring for Volga in the 2nd minute, and Aleksandr Saplinov doubled the lead just after the hour mark, finishing in the 57th minute. Vitaliy Semenov pulled one back for Kamaz in the 64th minute, but the hosts could not find a leveler. Both Volga scorers picked up yellow cards later on, along with one Kamaz player, though nobody saw red. Despite out-shooting their opponents and controlling much of the ball, Kamaz remain rooted near the bottom of the table, still searching for their first win of the campaign. Volga Ulyanovsk, meanwhile, move further up the standings after grabbing a big three points on the road.
