Inter vs Parma Calcio 1913

Inter made light work of Parma at San Siro, wrapping up the contest inside the opening 31 minutes. It was a statement return from the international break, with the Nerazzurri's control translating into ruthless efficiency in front of goal while Parma barely got a foothold. The breakthrough came in the 13th minute when Petar Sučić pounced on hesitant Parma defending to curl home from the edge of the box. Five minutes later, Hakan Çalhanoğlu coolly converted a penalty to make it 2-0, and by the 31st minute Marcus Thuram added a third, finishing off a slick team move. No cards of note disrupted the flow, and the second half was largely a formality as Inter eased off and Parma offered only sporadic resistance. The win sends Inter to the top of the Serie A table, opening daylight over their closest rivals. For Parma, it was a tough backdrop to Alberto Gilardino's first game in charge, a reminder of the work still needed to tighten things up defensively.
