Instituto vs Independiente

Instituto produced a stunning first-half comeback to beat Independiente 2-1 in Córdoba on Matchday 11 of the Apertura. All three goals arrived before the break in a breathless opening 35 minutes at the Estadio Juan Domingo Perón. Matías Abaldo gave the visitors the lead with a thumping left-footed finish in the 13th minute, but Instituto's response was almost instant. Alex Luna equalised just 60 seconds later to restore parity. Giuliano Cerato then completed the turnaround on 34 minutes, converting a rebound to send the home crowd into raptures. The second half was a far quieter affair as Instituto managed the game comfortably. The win lifts Instituto to 14 points and into the upper half of Grupo A, while Independiente missed a chance to pull clear and remain on 14 points after a frustrating night on the road.
