Independiente vs Unión
Match Report
Independiente pulled off an extraordinary comeback to draw 4-4 with Unión de Santa Fe at the Libertadores de América, with Juan Manuel Fedorco heading home a dramatic equalizer in the 100th minute of a breathless Torneo Apertura clash.
Unión raced into a 3-0 lead inside 39 minutes through Cristian Tarragona's penalty (14'), Brahian Cuello (20'), and Mateo Del Blanco (39'). Ignacio Pussetto pulled one back in first-half stoppage time to give the hosts hope heading into the break.
Gabriel Ávalos was the star of the fightback, converting a 49th-minute penalty and netting again in the 68th to make it 3-4 after Maizon Rodríguez had briefly restored Unión's two-goal cushion (63'). Then Fedorco rose highest deep into added time to complete the rescue act.
The point leaves Unión second on 15 points while Independiente sit fourth with 14 — but this will feel like two dropped for the visitors after leading 3-0.
