Genoa CFC vs Como 1907

Como earned a clinical 2-0 victory at the Ferraris, silencing a sold-out home crowd and keeping Genoa to nothing in a sharp away display. Anastasios Douvikas made his mark early, heading a Lucas Da Cunha cross low past Justin Bijlow in the 10th minute. Genoa pushed back, Nico Paz struck the post with a diagonal effort, but couldn't find an equaliser before the break. De Rossi rang the changes at half-time, bringing on Andrea Leali in goal, but Como remained in control. Assane Diao wrapped it up in the 68th minute, meeting a cross from Martin Baturina's run with a precise header to seal all three points. The result breathes new life into Como's European push, they sit on 51 points, five behind the Champions League places with four games remaining. For Genoa, already safe at 39 points, this defeat matters little in the bigger picture.
