Fluminense snatched a dramatic 3-2 victory over Athletico-PR at the Maracanã thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Guilherme Arana. The Round 6 clash delivered end-to-end action from the first whistle, with the hosts rallying twice to claim all three points.
Steven Mendoza gave the visitors an early lead in the 5th minute, but Fluminense hit back almost immediately through Hércules just three minutes later. Former Athletico-PR man Agustín Canobbio then made it 2-1 on 36 minutes, punishing his old side in classic "lei do ex" fashion.
Athletico-PR refused to go quietly. Luiz Gustavo levelled at 2-2 in the 74th minute, but Bruno Zapelli's red card left them a man down for the closing stages. Arana made them pay deep into added time, firing home in the 93rd minute to spark wild celebrations.
The win lifts Fluminense to second in the table on 13 points, while Athletico-PR slip to 10th with seven points from six games.
