1. FC Köln came from behind twice to beat TSG Hoffenheim 3-2, with substitute Thijs Dallinga stealing the show by scoring twice after being introduced midway through the second half. Adam Daghim put Hoffenheim ahead in the 27th minute, only for Saïd El Mala to level in the 51st. Ozan Kabak headed the visitors back in front in the 67th, before Dallinga struck twice, in the 72nd and 82nd minutes, to turn it around. In between, goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe saved a penalty from Max Moerstedt, a stop that proved decisive. Kabak and Moerstedt were both booked late on, though no one saw red. The win snapped a nine-game winless run for Köln against Hoffenheim at home and gave the hosts a perfect start to the new season. For Hoffenheim, it's a frustrating opener that squanders two leads and dents their Europa League ambitions before the campaign has really begun.
