Ural claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Chelyabinsk in the FNL's 31st round, finishing with ten men but doing enough to take all three points.
Artem Mamin opened the scoring in the 32nd minute before Martin Sekulic converted from the spot in the 60th, the kick awarded after Alexey Berdnikov handled the ball in the box. Ural were then reduced to ten men when goalkeeper Alexander Selikhov was shown a straight red in the 73rd for fouling an attacker outside the area. Garrik Levin pulled one back for the hosts in the 78th, but the equalizer never came.
The result pushes Ural into second place as they chase automatic RPL promotion, just a point behind the leaders. For Chelyabinsk, a ninth game without a win, and a mid-table rut that looks set to continue.
