Match Report
Brest made it six matches unbeaten with a clinical 2-0 win over Le Havre at the Stade Francis-Le Blé on Matchday 25 of Ligue 1. Romain Del Castillo broke the deadlock right on the stroke of half-time with an audacious lob that sailed over the stranded Le Havre goalkeeper.
Ludovic Ajorque sealed the deal in the 71st minute, coolly finishing at the far post after Kamory Doumbia's initial shot was blocked and the ball fell kindly into his path. Despite dominating possession, Le Havre failed to register a single shot on target all afternoon.
The victory lifts Brest to ninth in the table on 36 points as coach Éric Roy's side continue to climb. Le Havre drop to 14th with 26 points, though a nine-point cushion above the drop zone means there's no cause for panic just yet.
