Match Report

Zimbabwe powered into the Mukuru Four Nations final with a ruthless 3-0 demolition of hosts Botswana at Obed Itani Stadium in Francistown on Saturday. The Warriors were clinical in a blistering first-half display, netting three times before the break to kill the contest stone dead. Mongameli Tshuma opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a sharp finish to cap an impressive showing. Macauley Bonne doubled the advantage nine minutes later in the 33rd, before Bill Antonio completed the rout right on the stroke of half-time to send the travelling fans into raptures. The second half was a formality as Zimbabwe comfortably managed the game. Botswana barely threatened, leaving the home crowd with precious little to celebrate. The convincing victory sends the Warriors through to Tuesday's final against Zambia, while Botswana must regroup for the third-place playoff. On this evidence, Zimbabwe will take some stopping.
