Brazilian forward Murilo put the home side ahead early, finishing in the 7th minute to give Gil Vicente the perfect start. Maritimo pushed for a way back throughout the second half, and their persistence paid off when Ayuma struck in the third minute of added time to make it 1-1 and rescue a point deep into stoppage time.
