The Angola national football team, known as the Palancas Negras (Black Sables), is governed by the Federação Angolana de Futebol and competes in both CAF competitions and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Angola qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 in Germany, their only World Cup appearance to date, where they reached the group stage.
