Universidad Católica

Universidad Católica is one of Chile's most successful and prestigious football clubs, founded in 1937 in Santiago. Competing in the Chilean Primera División, the club plays its home matches at the Estadio Santa Laura-Universidad SEK, which holds 28,500 spectators, while also using the Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo. Universidad Católica has won the Chilean championship more than 15 times and is one of the most decorated clubs in the country's football history. Known as the Cruzados, the club has a strong Catholic university affiliation and a broad supporter base. They have regularly competed in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. The club produced notable players including Eugenio Mena and has a well-regarded youth academy that continues to supply talent to the national team and European leagues.
