The Namibia national football team, known as the Brave Warriors, is governed by the Namibia Football Association and competes within the Confederation of African Football. FIFA-affiliated since 1992, following independence from South Africa in 1990, Namibia achieved a landmark achievement by qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, their first-ever AFCON finals appearance. The team made history again by qualifying for AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast. Namibia competes in COSAFA Cup regional competition and FIFA World Cup African qualifiers. Home matches are played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek. The squad has featured players from European leagues, and the country's English-speaking environment has helped players develop through international pathways. Namibia's growing participation in major tournaments reflects the federation's development efforts.
