Leicester City
Leicester City Football Club, founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse FC and playing at the 32,262-capacity King Power Stadium since 2002, is defined above all by the most improbable sporting achievement in modern history: winning the 2015-16 Premier League title at odds of 5,000-1 under Italian manager Claudio Ranieri, with Jamie Vardy's record-breaking scoring run, Riyad Mahrez's creative brilliance, and N'Golo Kanté's tireless engine the defining elements of that miraculous season. The club won the FA Cup in 2021 and reached the Champions League quarter-finals in 2016-17. Previous honours include three League Cup wins (1964, 1997, 2000). After relegation in 2022-23, an immediate return to the Premier League in 2023-24, and relegation again in 2024-25, Leicester continue a turbulent search for sustained stability as they build on the immortal legacy of the 2016 title.
