The Guam national football team represents the United States territory of Guam in international football under the Guam Football Association, affiliated with AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and FIFA since 1996. As part of the AFC, Guam competes in Asian World Cup qualifying rounds and the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. Guam's football history is relatively recent, but the team has shown notable development in the 2010s. In 2016, they achieved their first-ever AFC Asian Cup qualifying campaign win and have since been a competitive presence in the lower tier of AFC qualifying. The squad is composed mostly of players with Chamorro heritage and US-based players of Guamanian descent. Football competes with other sports for popularity on the island, but the GFA has invested in youth development to steadily improve the national team's standards.
