RCD Espanyol

RCD Espanyol de Barcelona was founded in 1900, making them one of Spain's oldest football clubs. Based in Cornella de Llobregat in the Barcelona metropolitan area, Espanyol play at the RCDE Stadium. Known as 'Los Periquitos' (The Budgerigars) or 'Blanquiazules', Espanyol have a proud history as Barcelona's second club, providing a distinct identity separate from FC Barcelona. They have won the Copa del Rey four times and reached the UEFA Cup Final twice, in 1988 and 2007. Espanyol have traditionally prided themselves on homegrown talent and technical, organised football. Despite regularly competing in the shadow of their famous city rivals, the club maintains a fiercely loyal and passionate fanbase committed to the club's unique identity.
