SSC Bari

SSC Bari is an Italian football club founded in 1908 and based in Bari, the capital of the Apulia region on the Adriatic coast of southern Italy. The club plays its home matches at the Stadio San Nicola, a remarkable architectural landmark designed by Renzo Piano and built for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Bari has spent significant time in Serie A throughout its history, enjoying their finest era in the early 1990s and early 2000s. Known as the Biancorossi (White and Reds) or I Galletti (The Roosters), Bari has produced notable players and attracted passionate supporters from across Puglia. After several turbulent years in the lower divisions, the club was taken over by the De Laurentiis family and has since made a determined push back toward top-flight Italian football.
