The Austria national football team, known as the Österreichisches Nationalteam, is governed by the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB). Austria has a rich footballing history, having been a dominant European force in the 1930s and finishing third in the 1954 FIFA World Cup. The team qualified for UEFA Euro 2016, 2020, and 2024, demonstrating a strong resurgence in recent decades. Key players include David Alaba, one of the world's finest defenders who has represented Austria with distinction, and Marko Arnautovic.
