Auxerre

AJ Auxerre was founded in 1905 in the city of Auxerre in the Burgundy region of France. The club competes in Ligue 1 and plays its home matches at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps, a historic ground with a capacity of around 20,000 supporters. Nicknamed Les Auxerrois, the club rose to national prominence under the legendary manager Guy Roux, who coached the team for over 40 years. Auxerre claimed the French league title in 1996 and won the Coupe de France multiple times. The club is renowned for its exceptional youth academy, which produced stars such as Eric Cantona, Laurent Blanc, and Djibril Cissé. Playing in red and white, Auxerre represents one of French football's most storied traditions, combining ambition with a strong commitment to youth development.
