Queens Park Rangers

Queens Park Rangers Football Club was founded in 1882 in west London, formed through a merger of several local clubs. QPR, as they are widely known, play their home matches at Loftus Road in Shepherd's Bush and compete in the English Championship. Nicknamed 'The Hoops' for their distinctive blue and white striped shirts, the club won the Second Division championship in 1983 and was runners-up in the First Division in 1976 under manager Dave Sexton. QPR briefly attracted significant investment in the 2010s and reached the Premier League, but have since settled back into the Championship. Known for nurturing talent and a loyal fanbase, QPR maintain a strong west London identity.
