Leeds United

Leeds United Football Club, formed in 1919 from the ashes of the disbanded Leeds City and playing at Elland Road in the Beeston district (capacity 37,645, with expansion to ~53,000 approved), had their defining era under Don Revie from 1961-74, winning two First Division titles, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups with a side featuring Billy Bremner, Johnny Giles, and Jack Charlton. Their third and most recent league title came in 1991-92 under Howard Wilkinson. After years of turbulence — including financial collapse following a Champions League semi-final in 2001 and relegation to the third tier by 2007 — Marcelo Bielsa's passionate 2019-20 promotion captured hearts globally. Daniel Farke secured promotion back to the Premier League in April 2025, winning the Championship title with a club-record 100 points, returning Leeds to the top flight for the 2025-26 season.
