Derby County
Derby County FC, founded in 1884, is based in Derby, a city in the East Midlands of England. Competing in the Championship, the club plays at Pride Park Stadium, a modern 33,000-capacity ground that opened in 1997. Known as the Rams, Derby won the First Division title twice, in 1972 and 1975, both under the legendary manager Brian Clough. The club has an illustrious history and produced several England internationals. After entering administration in 2021 in one of English football's most dramatic financial collapses, Derby were deducted points and relegated to League One. Local businessman David Clowes rescued the club from liquidation, and under manager Paul Warne the Rams earned promotion back to the Championship in 2023, beginning a new chapter built on community, integrity, and ambition.
