Coventry City

Coventry City Football Club was founded in 1883 in Coventry, England, and is known by the nickname the Sky Blues. The club's greatest achievement came in 1987 when they won the FA Cup, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in a memorable final at Wembley. Coventry spent 34 consecutive seasons in the top division from 1967 to 2001, a remarkable run. They currently compete in the Championship, playing home matches at the Coventry Building Society Arena, which holds 32,609 spectators. Notable former players include Cyrille Regis, Steve Ogrizovic, Dion Dublin, and Robbie Keane. The club moved back to Coventry after years groundsharing in Birmingham. Recent seasons have seen Coventry become competitive Championship contenders, reaching the play-off final in 2023 in a dramatic campaign.
