Bristol City

Bristol City FC, founded in 1894, is based in Bristol, a vibrant port city in southwest England. Competing in the Championship, the club plays at Ashton Gate Stadium, a modern, redeveloped venue they share with Bristol Rugby Club. Known as the Robins, Bristol City hold the distinction of being one of the few clubs outside the top two divisions to have reached the First Division for a sustained period, finishing as runners-up in 1907. The club has a fierce local rivalry with Bristol Rovers in the Bristol Derby. City has focused on developing young talent and building a pressing-based style under a series of progressive coaches. With a loyal and vocal fanbase and a newly redeveloped stadium complex including a hotel and conference facilities, Bristol City remains one of the Championship's most ambitious clubs.
