The Cameroon national football team, the Indomitable Lions, is one of Africa's most celebrated footballing nations, founded in 1959 and governed by the Fédération Camerounaise de Football. Cameroon has won the Africa Cup of Nations five times (1984, 1988, 2000, 2002, 2017) and became iconic at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals — the best ever by an African team at the time. Legendary players include Roger Milla, Samuel Eto'o, Marc-Vivien Foé, and Rigobert Song. The team plays home matches at the Stade d'Olembe in Yaoundé. Cameroon has appeared at eight World Cups, making them one of Africa's most consistent qualifiers. The current generation features stars such as André Onana and Vincent Aboubakar.
