The Burundi national football team, known as the Swallows, was founded in 1948 and is governed by the Fédération de Football du Burundi, affiliated with FIFA and CAF. Based in Bujumbura, the team competes in FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations.
