Flamengo
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, founded in 1895 as a rowing club in Rio de Janeiro before establishing a football department in 1911, is the most supported club in Brazil with over 46 million registered supporters and plays home matches at the legendary Maracanã Stadium. The club has won eight Campeonato Brasileiro titles, three Copas do Brasil, and three Copa Libertadores crowns — including the dramatic 2019 triumph under Jorge Jesus when Gabriel Barbosa (Gabigol) scored twice in injury time to overturn a River Plate lead. The club's 1981 Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup double, powered by Zico at the peak of his genius, produced one of the finest teams in Brazilian football history. Vinícius Júnior, now one of the world's best players, is a product of Flamengo's academy, as was the legendary Zico himself.
